When I was 10, my parents realized after I ran into too many walls and complained about not seeing the blackboard at school, that I needed glasses. This is when my childhood changed forever. My mom took me to the local eye doctor, where he took me through several tests to first identify my level of vision, like “which is better?…one…or two…one…or two?” then how to correct my vision so I was able to see perfect 20/20. I walked out of that office with what I thought were the biggest coke bottle glasses I had ever seen; and although they were cumbersome and awkward, they gave me crystal clear vision. No more running into walls, no more headaches or missed assignments at school.Looking through the glasses at eye chart

Part 2 of how to build a successful website is, you must have your new website search engine optimized so that search engines and ultimately your clients, will be able to find you. So many business owners believe that having a beautiful website design is all they need, that search engines like Google & Bing will just magically find their site, and they will be ranked at the top because they will it somehow. This is all well and good, but incorrect.

seo-arrowsSo, what do you do? Well, the best course of action is to hire Newton Design & Marketing to manage your monthly search engine optimization & search engine marketing efforts. An SEO (expert that does SEO) will do for your website what the eye doctor did for me when I was ten. As an SEO, we do tests on the website to see how visible it is to the search engines, like “which is better? one…or two?”  then we make corrections or adjustments to the site so that the search engines can see it with 20/20 vision. No more running into walls, no more missed leads.

As I became a teenager then to adulthood, tools for correcting my eyesight became more advanced. From glasses to contacts, then to extended wear contacts, then to daily wear contacts, and ultimately to laser eye surgery in 2005. In comparison, an SEO will make advancements and adjustments to your website as the technology changes and the search engines improve their user experience. This is key, because search engine optimization is not a one time event. You certiainly don’t just go to the eye doctor once and never see him (excuse the pun) again. No, you have to go see him again and again to make sure your vision hasn’t changed. If it has, he makes adjustments again to make sure you have that perfect 20/20.

Just like having glasses to correct blurry vision, having good SEO is imperative to your search engine visibility and to build a successful website.
